Only 5 km from the picturesque town Matelica, in the heart of the Marche region, is La Casa dei Fiori. This area is where the high quality wine Verdicchio DOC is produced and from the farm one as an excellent view of the vinyards as well the mountains and the mountain chain of Sibillini. The farm has all the characteristics of the Marche region with brick buildings and a small piazza in front of the main building... The farm dates back to the early 19th century and the farming has been active ever since. The name, Casa dei Fiori, means House of the Flowers. During the traditional procession from closeby Rastia the house was clad in flowers and torches. Due to this the villagers named it thus.
